Power Sources

The E.I. (electronic ignition) models must be operated with a power source and will not function using natural draft. The stoves are equipped to run on either AC (household current) or DC (battery current). The electronic ignition feature will only work on AC current. In the event of power failure the stove will have to be lit manually and then the battery will run the stove. If the stove is in operation when the power fails and the battery is hooked up then DC power will take over automatically and when AC power returns the stove circuitry will trickle charge the battery until it is fully charged. The green light on the control pannel will blink while the battery is charging and become steady green when the battery is fully charged.

The AC and DC power connections are located on the bottom of the stove (see diagram) and the AC line cord is furnished with each heater. The DC battery cable is an option and can be purchased from your local dealer or Thelin Co.
